After Mia loses Mango, she realizes she has also lost her colors. Before in the book, Mia had trouble deciding whether or not to keep her synesthesia. She decides not to get rid of it. When Mia realizes how important synesthesia is to her she misses it and is glad before that she didn't get rid of it. This situation backs up to the saying: You never know how lucky you are to have something until you lose it.

Mia realizes that her colors make her special and light up her life. So when she losses Mango she is empty until she sees Billy and her colors come back.

Mia is extremely affected from losing her colors. Mentally and physically. When Mango passed on Mia was devastated. Physically, Mia only saw the black and white boring world. Mentally, Mia felt like she lost who she was. Without synesthesia Mia felt like she was not herself at all.

After Mango dies, Mia realizes that she lost her colors. In the book, Mia had a hard time deciding to keep her synesthesia or not. But then she decides to not rid of her synesthesia. After the loss of Mango, Mia realized how important her synesthesia is, because losing Mango is like losing her grandfather again.

The loss helped Mia realize how important her synesthesia was
to her because when she realized that something was wrong with Mango she had not seen the colors when the helicopters wings were spinning. When she slammed her door when she went into her room she did not see colors. They are important to her because she lived with synesthesia and even her grandmother had synesthesia.

When Mia looses Mango, she realizes that her synesthesia is a big part of her life cause now she feels dull and there are really no special colors. She realizes that she isn't a freak, but she is special that she has a gift.

Throughout the story, Mia wanted her synesthesia to go away. The lose of Mango shows her that her synesthesia is more helpful than she will admit. This changes her view on her synesthesia.

After Mia loses Mango she also loses her colors. This helps her relize that without her colors her life is boring and plain. When she got them back it made her appreciate them more.

After Mia looses Mango her colors suddenly disappear and its all because of trauma from losing Mango. I think that the loss of poor Mango was helpful for her to realize how important her synethesia is because its all she has left of her cat and her grandpa.

Mia losing her colors lets her realize and witness how everyday people live. She feels blank and flat without her colors. She knows how hard it would be to live without them.

When Mia lost Mango she had lost her colors. During that time period Mia felt like a normal person and she did not like that feeling either. Mia should cherish that gift.
