If one of my friends told me they had synesthesia I would probably have a couple reactions. If I knew the friend since kindergarten or a long time, at first I would probably be hurt, and aggravated my friend didn't tell me sooner. I would think that they didn't trust me. I might also be like, "Oh, that is so cool" after I learned what it was.

If I had found out that one of my best friends had synethesia I would probably react in two different ways...such as, "WOW,I think its so cool I want it too". But that is how I would react after I found out what synethesia was. I would be hurt because if he or she was my best friend since we were able to read, I would be hurt and confused because I would think that they wouldnt trust me.

If one of my friends told me that they had Synethesia I would probably be very shocked.I would also be very upset if we were bestfriends and he or she kept it away from me for long. Even though it would be cool to have Synethesia, it isnt cool for him or her to keep it away from me.

Mia's family members become worried and sometimes give her extra praise. Her siblings aren't that much nicer but they are still concerned. Jenna thinks that its fine but she doesn't like how people are treating her like she is some popular person and that she has better things to do than hang out with her. If my friend told me that they had synesthesia, I wouldn't treat them differently or ask any questions because they have always been that person.

Mia's relationships with her friends and family are greatly affected when they learn about her synesthesia. Mia's mom doesn't like the whole synesthesia idea so Mia doesn't have a strong relationship with her. Zach and Beth are too strange for Mia so they don't get together well either. I think Mia's dad is the only one in her family who she really can trust. I say Jenna is not a good friend to Mia because she acted like such a jerk to Mia when she told her about synesthesia. Roger is a good friend to Mia because he understands her problems and keeps her secrets. If my best friend told me they have synesthesia, it wouldn't affect our relationship. I actually would think it would be very cool.

Mia's relationship with her family is affected when she tells her family about her synesthesia. After she told them her whole family acted differently toward her. Jenna acted as a bad friend because she didn't understand. When Mia told Roger, he supported her. Mia's mom and dad didn't believe her at first because they didn't like the idea of synesthesia. If my best friend told me that she had synesthesia, and she had since she was in third grade, I would support her and not judge her for what she has.
